Mr. S.S. Sobti, Head – Corporate Advisory & Criminal Litigation, is a seasoned litigator and legal advisor with over three decades of experience at the Bar. An alumnus of the Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, he maintains a robust practice before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, subordinate Courts, Tribunals as well as other judicial and quasi-judicial fora across India.
His practice spans Criminal Litigation and defence, white-collar crime and investigations, Civil and Commercial disputes, and legal advisory. He has extensive experience in dealing with Financial, Capital & Securities Market including Equity and commodity; conducting dispute resolution & arbitrations on the platform of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
Drawing on his extensive courtroom and advisory experience, Mr. Sobti develops and implements legal strategies for Corporate Houses, Banks and NBFCs. He combines litigation insight with commercial understanding to help clients navigate complex legal, regulatory and business challenges.
Mr. Sobti specialises in Drafting & Conveyancing with special focus on client centric Loan and Mortgage documentation, Hypothecation and Guarantee, Commercial and Contractual agreements.
He has advised on World Bank-aided International Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) Projects in Africa, and matters involving cross-border legal considerations and international dispute resolution. He offers comprehensive expertise in EPC contracts, spanning advisory, strategic analysis, and execution, alongside a proven track record in dispute resolution & adjudication.
His practice also includes complex corporate matters, and assisting clients with strategic corporate communications where legal, regulatory and reputational considerations intersect.
With over 30 years of experience at the Bar, Mr. Sobti continues to contribute significantly to the firm’s litigation and dispute-resolution practice, bringing extensive experience and strategic insight to complex matters before courts and other legal forums across India.
